Quick start
How to use your Voice DNA
Your Voice DNA is yours. Paste it or attach it in any AI tool, and it will sound more like you.
Step 1
Load your Voice DNA
Open the AI you use most (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other), attach your Voice DNA file, and paste this prompt. It works on every major AI.
Copy this prompt
I am attaching my voice guide. I need this applied to all future conversations so any copy you produce aligns with how I talk and come across. Based on your platform's capabilities, do the following: 1. Analyse my voice guide and identify the core characteristics. 2. Determine the BEST method to persist this in your system (Custom Instructions, memory, project knowledge, gems, skills, etc.). 3. Implement that method RIGHT NOW using whatever tools you have available. 4. Confirm what you've done and what scope it covers (all chats, this project only, etc.). 5. Tell me if there are any gaps in coverage and what I need to do manually to fill them. Don't just explain the options — actually implement the persistence mechanism you have access to, then tell me what you did.
Then attach your Voice DNA file in the same conversation. The AI will analyze it, decide the best way to persist it (Custom Instructions, project knowledge, memory, gems, etc.), and confirm what it did. From here on, anything that AI writes for you should sound like you.
Step 2
Try these prompts
Once your Voice DNA is loaded, try any of these. Don't start with the format. Start with what you want to say.
When you have a story or moment to share
“Write a [newsletter / post / letter / caption]. I want to open with this: [describe what happened]”
Then: “Now take what you just wrote and turn it into a [carousel / reel script / newsletter / caption]. Keep it in my voice.”
When you have a rough idea but can't get it started
“I want to write about [topic]. Help me find my angle. Something honest and specific, not the obvious take.”
Then: “Now turn that into a [carousel / reel script / newsletter / caption]. Keep it in my voice.”
When you have notes but need to shape them
“Turn this into something I could actually send: [paste your rough notes, voice memo, or brain dump]”
Then: “Now turn that into a [carousel / reel script / newsletter / caption]. Keep it in my voice.”
When something you wrote doesn't sound like you
“Rewrite this so it actually sounds like me: [paste the thing]”
When you need to write something you keep putting off
“I need to write [the thing]. Here's what I actually want to say: [paste your notes]”
When you want to respond to something
“Write a response to this in my voice: [paste the email, comment, or message]”
When you just want to create something quickly
“Turn this idea into a short post: [one sentence about what you want to say]”
Pro tip: “Write a newsletter about boundaries” will be generic. “I want to write about the moment I realized I was the one who needed the boundary” will sound like you.
Troubleshooting
When something feels off
Output still doesn't sound like me
Re-run the setup prompt and include a real writing sample alongside the Voice DNA file.
Updated your Voice DNA
Re-upload, delete the old file, then re-run the setup prompt.
Using more than one AI
Set up each one with the same Voice DNA. The setup prompt above adapts to whichever platform you're on.
Platform not listed
The setup prompt works on any AI. Run it, and the AI will choose the best way to save your Voice DNA on that platform.
